We are the musicians of the Pacific Symphony and we are pleased to welcome you to our internet home. You may know us from our concert appearances, or you may know us from our Class Act elementary school programs. We may be your children’s music teachers or your next-door neighbors. We are proud to be members of the Pacific Symphony and we are proud to bring music to the vibrant and dynamic communities of Orange County.

We look forward to seeing you at the beautiful Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall.

Some great reviews are in the form of blog entries.  Read this blog from a audience member of our June 5th Classics 12 concert:

I attended Thursday evening’s performance and it was a pleasure to see patrons wearing contented smiles, both at intermission and at the end of this lovely program. While, understandably, we were in awe of Andre Watts’ rendering of the Rachmaninoff piano concerto, we were equally talking about the snappy “Naughty Limericks” which opened the program. I loved it! What a breath of fresh air it was, that caught everyone by surprise and even generated a chuckle or two. The buzz was energizing and the good vibes were palpable on Thursday night.

Blog entry about our Pines of Rome concert: - Saturday, March 15, 2008

The Pacific Symphony played with precision, panache, and most of all, heart! It was one of those "meat and potato" offerings that are so satisfying once in a while. I have never heard the third movement of the Haydn Cello Concerto played so fast. Wow! Truly a tour de force and very exciting. Heart-stopping. Of course, the final movement of "The Pines of Rome" raised the roof, but the new concert hall contained the huge sound without making it sound distorted or unpleasant. Very satisfying indeed, and the audience went wild at the end. Standing ovations for a very enjoyable program. Kudos to the guest conductor -- and to the Symphony!

Blog entry about our Bruckner concert: - Saturday, March 01, 2008
Pacific Symphony performed Bruckner's 7th symphony. I really really loved it. I was not too familiar with Bruckner's work. I was kind of turned off by all the comparisons to Wagner. I'm so glad I stayed. It was amazing. The allegro and the addagio especially. The scherzo was nice too. It was very epic and sweeping and used a lot of the tonality/sonorities that I like a lot.
